Cogent Communications has appointed Blackwood Communications Group (BCG) as its strategic ideas and communications agency.

Cogent provides integrated telecommunications systems and services to businesses.  It has offices throughout New Zealand and is part of the Onesource Group.

The appointment has been made without a pitch and includes strategic, creative and media services. 

Mike Purchase, Cogent Marketing Director said, “Cogent needed a communications agency skilled in the telecommunication sector and able to offer integrated ideas, and we found that in BCG”.

Commenting on their appointment Jody King, General Manager at BCG, confirmed they are starting with a re-evaluation of the Cogent brand, saying “there is some great potential in the Cogent brand and we are looking forward to unearthing it”.
